Description

This is a cheap, compact, and expandable honey farm that can be built in the nether (no water), auto-crafts honey bottles into honey blocks, and auto-recirculates. Rates will be higher if built in the Nether or End, as bees don't need to rest there.

THIS FARM MUST BE BUILT with the hives at a chunk boundary. It will work only if the front or the back of each hive is at a CHUNK BORDER. The reason for this is because when the crafted items (honey blocks and glass bottles) cross a chunk border, their hopper pickup priority swaps. If not properly chunk aligned, this design will load honey blocks into the dispensers, and glass bottles into the output chest -- the opposite of what you want.

Configure the filters as follows: Crafters - program with recipe for honey blocks, with 16 honey bottles in each of 4 slots. Hoppers feeding into crafters: [slot 1: At least 1, and at most 10, honey bottles. Slots 2-5: one each of a 64-stackable filler item like kelp]. Etho hopper clock: place at least 7 items into one of the hoppers spots -- determines collection frequency.

The scaffolding provides a one-way gate for escaped bees to return and a way for the player to enter and exit the enclosure. You can replace or extend with glass or another solid block.
